Purpose
Put a small business’s money story in one place—parties, quotations, invoices, purchases, expenses, and reports—so simple questions get clear answers without hunting through notebooks and spreadsheets.
Problem
Like many small businesses, day-to-day operations live across notebooks, Excel sheets, WhatsApp threads, invoices, PDFs, and memory. The data exists—it’s just scattered. Outstanding payments, job profit, project expenses, which quotations became invoices, which payments are still pending: each answer takes longer than it should.
Why we built it
Ankik started with one business: my father’s. For years, operations ran across notebooks, Excel, WhatsApp, invoices, PDFs, and memory—information everywhere, never in one place. I set out to answer the questions that kept taking too long: who still owes us, what a job actually made, which expenses belonged to which project, which quotations became invoices, which payments were still pending. Solving it properly for that business meant building something other owners could use too—sign up, create their business, log in, and run books in one system instead of ten tools and a good memory.

Where it is today
Beta. Built against a real operating business; multi-user signup and business setup are part of the product so other SMEs can run the same workflows. We keep tightening clarity from daily use rather than shipping every report at once.
From building it
The hard problem is rarely “more features.” It’s getting scattered truth into one place people will actually keep updated.
What this changes for client work
Building for a real family business keeps us honest about operational software: data that was everywhere, workflows staff will use, and answers that don’t depend on hunting five tools. We bring that same discipline to client products.
